This is the final installation of Katchie's favorite albums from 2025. The full list is on All About Jazz.
 
Part 3 (Feb 6, 2026) opens with selections from award-winning saxophonist Sharel Cassity's Gratitude (Sunnyside), followed by pianist-composer Antonio Adolfo's Carnaval: The Songs Were So Beautiful (AAM), then flutist Gabriela Machado's self-produced Equilibrando no Acupe, saxophonist Laura Dreyer's Àgua e Sol (Lavasphere), clarinetist Kinan Azmeh's Live in Berlin (Dreyer Gaido), and singer Sivan Arbel's Oneness (Adhyâropa). Next, we hear a cut from singer Jamile's Pursuit of a Pulse (Cellar Music Group), with pianist Miki Yamanaka and saxophonist Steve Wilson. The program concludes with trombonist-arranger Ryan Keberle's Choro das Aguas (Alternate Side) and clarinetist-saxophonist Sam Sadigursky's Solomon Diaries IV & V  with accordionist Nathan Koci (Adhyâropa). Embraceable Brazil & Todos os Tempos: October releases from PA drummer Tom Cohen & LA guitarist Roberto Montero

  Listen to this week's show   Unveiling two October 2025 releases on Caminhos do Jazz this week, both labors of love, self-produced. New Jersey-born, Philadelphia-based drummer Tom Cohen  has  "never been happier about a project than he is about Embraceable Brazil. I was really proud of this producer in me that kind of emerged,” he says. “You just never know what possibilities there are until you try something new. The future is sometimes more open than we think.”  And Brazilian guitarist-singer Roberto Montero has been in on the LA scene for going on three decades, working  live and in studio/film music production .   Todos os Tempos is his first solo outing.
